Peach Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 4 ripe peaches, sliced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 6 cups of water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, bring 6 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the tea bags and let it steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and set aside.
  3. In another pot, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, and lemon juice. Mash the peaches with a fork or a potato masher.
  4. Cook the peach mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the peaches are soft.
  5. Remove the peach mixture from the heat and strain it through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing down on the solids with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.
  6. Combine the peach mixture with the brewed tea and stir well.
  7. Chill the peach iced tea in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  8. Serve the peach iced tea over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
